2009 State Championship Names Winner with 20+ Lbs of Fish
Jason Knapp was named winner of 2009 State Championship held on June 7, 2009 on Burt and Mullet Lakes. Knapp weighed in 20 lbs 2 oz of fish to reel in the title. Jason also won the $400 Ranger Cup bonus money.
The State team will represent TBF of Michigan Inc. in the 2009 TBF Northern Divisional in Fort Madison, Iowa; hosted by TBF of Illinois.
Brian Belevender won the Big Bass award with a 6 lb 2 oz small mouth.
We congratulate Jason, Brian and the entire State team!!!

2nd Annual Trolling Motor Raffle Names a Winner
The winning ticket was pulled on-site at the Ultimate Sports Show in Grand Rapids on 3/23/09. Ticket #339009 belongs to Charles Reese from Sterling Heights who bought his ticket at the Ultimate Sports Show in Novi, MI.
Mr. Reese won a Minn-Kota max 101 52"shaft trolling motor that is valued at $1200 retail. He stated to Dennis Beltz that he planned on selling the motor. If anyone is interested, please contact Dennis at 586-212-9580.

Junior State Championship Scheduled for June 13 at Lake Nepessing
All juniors ages 11-18 invited to participate must be a member of a club. This tournament divides the juniors into two age groups and names a winner for each; 11-14 and 15-18. For more information download the Junior Championship Flyer.

Motor City Bass Anglers Applauded by TBF of Michigan for Community Service
There are several clubs that are involved with their local community, but Motor City Bass Anglers is among the original clubs that continues to perform several programs a year for their community. They are also the only club to support the FLW Tour Chevy Open as well as provide a number of volunteers. Their significant involvement earned them stage and television recognition from Charlie Evans. The attached document details the Senior Workshop the club hosted. Congratulations to club president, James Hobson, and his entire club for their commendable community efforts.
