How to Become a TBF Member - It's Easy!

1. Go to online roster system and sign up.

2. Join a local club. Or recruit at least 6 members and form a new club (this club must belong TBF of Michigan Inc.)

3. Pay dues to your local club, TBF of Michigan, TBF Inc and FLW Outdoors.

For Example:
$35 FLW Membership
+$15 National annual dues
+$25 State annual dues
$75 TOTAL ANNUAL TBF DUES*

*Additional local club dues may be applicable.

Is the Bass Federation (TBF) owned by FLW Outdoors?
No, FLW is our major sponsor. TBF (national) is owned by the state Federations. Each state Federation holds one share of stock.

Is the Bass Federation (TBF) affiliated with ESPN-owned BASS?
No, TBF is not affiliated with the ESPN or BASS organizations.

Do you have to be in a TBF club to be a TBF Member?
Yes, and that club must be a member of the state TBF organization (state Federation).

How can I join a TBF club in my state?
To join a TBF club in Michigan, contact the TBF of MI President or a your local club director.

Do you have to be a FLW Outdoors Member to be a TBF Member?
Yes, TBF members must purchase an FLW membership ($25.00). Make sure to put the word "Federation" in the promo code box for the discount.

How can I join FLW Outdoors?
If you are a TBF member you can either join via the FLW website (make sure to put the word "Federation" in the promo code box for the discount), use the membership form in the FLW Outdoors magazine or call FLW Outdoors at (270) 252-1000. Make sure in all cases that you let them know that you are a TBF member to get the discount membership price.

How can I form my own club in my state?
If you have 6 people or more, you may start your own local club. Your club must be owned by the TBF of MI. For more details, contact TBF of MI President.

How much does it cost to be a TBF Member?
TBF dues are $25 per member per year, and you are also required to join your state Federation. State dues vary as well do local club dues.

What do I get for being a TBF Member?

Is the TBF a tournament trail?
Members qualify through their club events and state Federation trails to fish in the Division Championship tournaments and then on to the FLW Open Championship, the BFL All-American, the Skeeter BassFan Army Weekend Warrior Championship and the TBF State Champions Tournament.

Is TBF a non-profit or for-profit company?
TBF is a for-profit company (C-corporation) because that is the only legal way we could set up and support the state Federations, which are all non-profit. TBF of MI is a non-profit.

Do TBF Board Members get paid?
Other than company-related expense reimbursement, the TBF board of directors receives NO COMPENSATION, this includes TBF of MI Board of Directors.

What is the relationship with BassFan and the BassFan Army?
All TBF members receive a free BassFan Army membership, valued at $19.95. This gives them access to all BassFan Army programs, including tournament contingency programs, the opportunity to qualify for the BassFan Army Weekend Warrior Championship and others. (See www.bassfanarmy.com for more information.) BassFan also created, manages and maintains the TBF website.

Feb 13, 2010 BPS Youth Fundraiser
BPS will be providing us with hotdogs, buns, coke, a grill and gas to cook and distribute to guest at there boat show. We then ask for donations for the free food all proceeds will go to help our kids get to the World Championship this summer in Atlanta, GA. This is where our youth can win college scholarships and prizes for our own Youth TBF of MI. I will also be looking into betting a space to sell Raffle tickets both on the 13 and 14th so I would like some help with this.
